Like Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta is now owned by the Gucci Group.  The company was initially a family firm founded in 1966 by Vittorio and Laura Moltedo.

Like many brands, in order to reach a wider audience and develop the business, Bottega Veneta has diversified into more ranges, including ready-to-wear clothing.  However, the company is most renowned for it’s luxury leather goods.  Designs are understated, classical and elegant and are made from the softest Italian Intreciatto woven leathers.  Bags, shoes and belts are all handmade in Italy.  Quality and luxury is what this brand is about - the workmanship is outstanding, and all this is achieved in a subtle way.  No outlandish logo in sight; just quiet, dignified, indulgence.
